Quick start

SeaCloud provides a streamlined developer experience for accessing multimodal AI capabilities. To get started with the platform, complete the following three steps.

Step 1: Sign in to SeaCloud

Visit SeaCloud and sign in to access the platform. SeaCloud currently supports Google sign-in, GitHub sign-in, and email-based sign-in. New users can also create an account by signing up with an email address and completing verification.

Step 2: Get an API Key

SeaCloud uses a unified API Key to authenticate access across its multimodal capabilities. After signing in, API Keys can be created and managed directly from the API Key management page, which is used for subsequent model access, skill integration, and workflow connection.

API Key Security Best Practices

• Use environment variables: Store API keys in environment variables and never hardcode them in source code.
• Server-side only: Always make API calls from the backend, and never call APIs directly from the browser or a mobile app.
• Rotate regularly: Rotate API keys on a regular basis, especially if there is any suspicion that they may have been exposed.
• Least privilege: Create separate API keys for different applications to make them easier to manage and revoke.

If there is any reason to believe an API key has been compromised, revoke it immediately in the settings page and create a new one.

Step 3: Add credits to your account

To begin using models and running tasks without interruption, ensure the account has sufficient balance. Visit the credits page to top up credits before production usage.
